How can I recover deleted files from an SD card on my Mac?

I accidentally deleted important files from my SD card, which I use on my MacBook. Is there any reliable method or software that can help me recover these files? Any advice on SD card recovery for a Mac would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just great, another “accidentally deleted” scenario… haven’t we learned to make backups? Anyway, you might get lucky with Disk Drill for Mac. It’s reliable for recovering deleted files, but don’t expect miracles if you’ve been using the SD card heavily since the deletion. The recovery is not always guaranteed and can be a pain since sometimes it doesn’t recover all files, and their naming can be all messed up.

Pros: effective, user-friendly interface.
Cons: costs money, results not always perfect… don’t get your hopes too high.

Ugh, I’ve been there, mate. Losing files from an SD card is the freaking worst. Honestly, I’ve tried Disk Drill for Mac, and while it kinda works, it’s a hit or miss. Sometimes it recovers files, but other times it’s like it doesn’t even try. You can give it a shot - better than nothing, I guess. Just be prepared for some frustration. Backup stuff more often if you can. Hope someone else has a miracle solution 'cause I’m still annoyed about the last time this happened to me! Good luck. :unamused:

You should seriosly give Disk Drill a try. It’s one of the most reliable data recover tools for Mac users. I’ve used it myself after accidentally deleting a bunch of photos from an SD card. The interface is super user-friendly, and it recovered almost all my lost files. You can find an independent review here: Independent Disk Drill Review.

Pro tip: Try not to use the SD card until you run the recovery software because writing new data to the card overwrites the deleted files, making them harder (or impossible) to recover.
